An English Delft flower brick, circa 1740, painted in blue with a stag in a chinoiserie landscape to both sides, each end with a building, the top pierced with twenty-one holes within a trellis pattern, length 16cm, height 9.2cm, width 7.1cm (cracks and chips). Provenance: from the collection of the late Professor Maurice Stacey.
