THEOLOGY. - Honoré de SAINT-MARIE. Animadversiones in Regulas et Usum Critices. Venice: Franciscus Pitteri, 1738. 2 vols., 4to (251 x 178mm.) Title in red and black to volume 1, engraved vignettes to titles, engraved initial and headpiece, 3pp. addenda and errata to rear of volume 1. (Occasional light spotting to text, spotting to pastedowns, number on half-title of volume 1.) Contemporary blind-stamped vellum, ink lettering to spines, leather clasps (soiling, lacking bosses). Provenance: Benedictine Monaestry, Burani (ink inscribed on title-pages); Jacob J. Ryan (name-plates to front pastedowns). - And a further volume (Peter Barwick's 'Life of the Reverend Dr. John Barwick', 1724, 8vo) (3).
