A Japanese Kutani jar, probably Edo period, of stout circular form, enamelled in green, aubergine, blue and yellow with opposing panels of birds flying above flowers, reserved against a trellis ground, green and black glazed seal mark to base, height 23cm (star crack to base), with wood cover and stand.
