LOT 1121
A mid-19th century French bronze and Sienna marble mantel clock, the eight day movement with silk suspension, striking hours and half hours on a bell via an outside countwheel, the engine turned silvered circular dial with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'Bataille Ainé Besançon', the brown patinated bronze case surmounted with a seated figure resting on a rocky outcrop, the Sienna marble rectangular plinth applied with cast foliate scroll mounts and scroll apron, height 44cm, with pendulum.
