A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro, Meiji period, of stout ovoid form, painted and gilt with two pairs of opposing figural panels, unmarked, height 6.2cm (missing cover), together with a Satsuma earthenware vase by Hozan, Meiji period, of flattened circular form, painted and gilt with butterflies, on scroll feet, gilt signature to base, height 19cm (cracked and restoration).
