A Doulton Lambeth stoneware gilt metal mounted table oil lamp, circa 1882, decorated by Mark V. Marshall and Emma Martin, monogrammed, the tapering body with two incised panels, one depicting the sun below cockerels, inscribed 'Matin', the other with the moon below owls, inscribed 'Nox', within foliate borders, held within gilt metal supports with scroll detail for the legs, on a cruciform base, the reservoir decorated with foliage, fitted with a Palmer & Co Duplex burner with glass chimney, impressed and incised marks, total height to top of reservoir 42.5cm.
