LOT 1266
A late 19th century French gilt metal cased mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the backplate with 'Japy Frères' maker's stamp and detailed 'Le Moinet Paris', the circular enamel dial inscribed 'Jacquet-Lacarriere et Dagrin à Paris, Rue du Petit Carreau 18', the rococo scroll and moulded case cast and pierced with flowers, foliate scrolls and a putto beneath a bird surmount, on a scroll moulded integral base, height 44.5cm, with pendulum.
