A Chinese blue silk embroidered jacket/short robe, late Qing dynasty, finely worked in coloured threads with an all-over design of butterflies and scattered flowers on a coral ground, the borders, cuffs and collar decorated with blue and black flowers and scrolling foliage on a cream ground, length 113cm, together with a Chinese silk embroidered waistcoat, length 38cm, a Japanese black silk kimono and a silk gown.
