A Japanese shakudo and ivory mounted glass inkwell, the cut glass square body with silver collar and hinged cover, mounted with an ivory framed manju netsuke top, inset with a shakudo circular figural panel, gilt two character signature, Birmingham 1926 by John Grinsell & Sons, height 7.1cm (split to ivory).
