A pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain vases, mark of Qianlong but Republic period, each swollen cylindrical body painted with a scene of maidens in a pleasure garden, opposing four lines of black text and three red seals, each short flared neck enamelled with bands of lotus and scrolling tendrils on turquoise and yellow grounds between ruyi head borders, iron red printed four character mark to bases, height 40cm (one with chip to rim), with carved and pierced wood stands.
