LOT 4090
A set of nine Chinese famille rose export porcelain plates, Yongzheng period, each enamelled with a cockerel perched on a blue rock amidst pink peonies, within a rim of four peony and chrysanthemum sprays, diameter 23.1cm (two with minor rim chips). Note: similar cockerel designs on Yongzheng porcelain are illustrated by Williamson and Tuttle in 'The Book of Famille Rose', 1970, plates III, IV and V.
