A Chinese export grisaille decorated porcelain 'Resurrection' teabowl, Qianlong period, painted primarily en grisaille and heightened in gilt with Christ rising beside the seated figure of the Angel Gabriel, several Roman soldiers lying asleep on the ground, height 4.2cm, diameter 7.7cm. Note: a similar teabowl and saucer were sold by Christie's, London, as part of the J. Louis Binder Collection of Chinese Export Art, 17th June 2003, Lot 88.
