A late 19th century French gilt brass mounted boulle and red tortoiseshell cased mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a gong, the embossed brass circular dial inset with enamel hour and minute plaques, the backplate stamped 'CHLS Frodsham, clock. maker. to. the. Queen, Paris' and numbered '15951', the case finely inlaid with engraved foliate scrolls, applied with gilt brass rococo scroll moulded mounts and flanked by pierced fret panels, height 34.5cm, with sunburst pendulum and winding key (minor faults).
