A Chinese carved bamboo figure group of Liu Hai performing a handstand on the back of a three legged toad, height 11.2cm, together with a Chinese carved hardwood figure of an immortal, Qing dynasty, wearing an open robe with left foot resting on the back of a Buddhistic lion cub, on a carved and pierced hardwood naturalistic stand, total height 26cm (some faults). Provenance: from the estate of the late Nellie Lenson-Smith (1928-2017).
