A Chinese famille rose porcelain vase, mark of Qianlong but Republic period, the swollen cylindrical body painted with a continuous scene of two separate peninsulas, each inhabited by a boy and elder with pavilion, pine trees and rocks, divided by meandering water with sailing boats and cloud swathed mountains beyond, the short flared neck with polychrome enamelled ruyi-head rim, the base with polychrome lappit band above a blue keyfret footrim, iron red four character mark to base, height 26cm (restoration to rim).
