A late 19th century French lacquered brass bottom-wind carriage alarm clock by Le Roy & Fils, with eight day movement striking and repeating on a gong, the cream chapter ring with black Roman numerals and inscribed 'Le Roy & Fils, 57 New Bond St. London & Paris', framing an engine turned silvered centre, above a cream subsidiary alarm dial, all within a silvered surround, the glazed case with acanthus moulded swing handle above stiff leaf bands and turned corner columns, the rectangular base with applied foliate spray on bracket feet, the bottom winder detailed 'Le Roy & Fils Patent No. 9501', height 20cm, with original leather travelling case.
