A mid-19th century French lacquered brass carriage alarm clock by Caudron of Paris, with eight day movement striking and repeating on a bell, the backplate signed 'Caudron Paris', the enamelled dial with black Roman numerals and inscribed 'Caudron Eve de Breguet Place Beauveau Paris', above a subsidiary alarm dial with Arabic numerals, the gorge case with swing handle and bevelled glass panels, the underside with lever selection for 'silence' and 'sonnerie' and inscribed 'Gottfried. J. Peters 1849', height 17cm, with tooled leather travelling case.
