An early 19th century gilt bronze mantel timepiece with single fusee movement, the backplate inscribed 'Thomas Hawley, Strand, London', the silvered circular dial with engine turned centre above a surround of black Roman numerals, the rococo scroll moulded balloon case cast with scrolls, flowers and foliage, inset with pierced fret panels to sides and front, on 'C' scroll feet and integral similarly scroll moulded base, height 34.5cm, with pendulum and a winding key.
