A late 19th century French gilt metal and porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the dial with Arabic numerals, the case with urn surmount above cast birds and nest, flanked by a pair of porcelain columns painted with cottage in landscape panels against a puce ground, the front inset with a porcelain panel painted with a courting couple, on foliate scroll moulded feet, height 42cm, with pendulum.
