An early Victorian silver rectangular snuffbox, the hinged lid decorated in relief with a scene of three hounds chasing a stag through a woodland landscape, within a frame of scrolls and foliage, the thumbpiece and borders cast with scallop shell and foliate scrolls, the base with engine turned decoration, London 1844 by William Robert Smiley, weight approx 192g, length approx 8.6cm.
