A William IV silver gilt rectangular table snuffbox, the hinged lid finely cast with a border of flowers and foliate scrolls, framing an engraved inscription 'Presented by a few friends to Ben Massey Esq in testimony of their high esteem for his public and private character, November 27. 1851', the concave sides and base with engine turned decoration, London 1837 by Thomas Edward, weight approx 212g, length approx 9.2cm.
