A Japanese Satsuma earthenware trumpet vase by Kinkozan, Meiji period, the swollen body painted with a continuous scene of sparrows amongst gourds and trailing vines, within blue, green and gilt trellis and iron red scale borders, reserved against a blue ground with gilt enriched decoration, the flared neck painted with a continuous panel of wisteria and birds on a pale yellow ground, the rim interior with butterflies, iron red and gilt signature and impressed seal mark to base, height approx 17.7cm.
