LIVY, Titus. Historiarum ab Urbe Condita Libri Qui Supersunt. Oxford: E. Theatro Sheldoniano, 1708. 6 vols., 8vo (198 x 118mm.) Engraved vignette to title. (Light browning, some worm damage, occasional minor soiling, some ink marginalia.) Contemporary calf, spine in five compartments with raised bands, gilt lettering piece in the second compartment (rubbed, extremities scuffed and lightly bumped). Provenance: William Gill (ink inscription dated 1757 to front-free endpaper of vol. I); Frankland (armorial bookplate to front pastedowns).
