A Japanese silver mounted shibayama inlaid ivory tusk jar and cover, Meiji period, the ivory body finely inlaid in mother-of-pearl and hardstones with flowers and blossoming branches, above an incised mother-of-pearl oval signature plaque, the silver domed cover, collar and foot with engraved scrolls, flanked by a pair of enamelled bird handles, height approx 13cm (some faults).
