BIBLE, in English. The Holy Bible containing the Old and New Testament… wherein all the obscure passages are elucidated and every difficulty explained by the Revd. Mr. Ostervald. Manchester: printed by Russell & Allen, [N.d., but the New Testament dated 1812]. Folio (420 x 250mm.) Engraved general title, numerous engraved plates. (Light creasing to first few leaves, occasional light spotting or old damp staining.) Contemporary marbled calf, covers bordered in gilt, spine gilt, light green endpapers (some scuffing to joints and extremities, joints slightly split). Provenance: I. Cleaver (elaborately tooled leather book label, dated 1814, on front pastedown).
