CAMDEN, William. Camden's Britannia, newly translated into English: with large additions and improvements. Publish'd by Edmund Gibson. London: printed by F. Collins for A. Swalle, and A. & J. Churchil, 1695. Folio (390 x 235mm.) Engraved portrait frontispiece of the author, occasional woodcut illustrations. (Lacking all maps, portrait creased and torn, some soiling, some light worming.) Contemporary panelled calf (worn, upper cover detached, spine scuffed, split to lower joint, front-free endpaper loosely inserted). Note: lacking all maps. Provenance: James Clegg (inscription); Isaac Broadley (inscription noting purchase from 'Geo. Terraby'); Charles Howard (armorial bookplate).
