A Japanese Satsuma earthenware dish by Gyokushu, Meiji period, of convex and concave outline, the centre finely painted with a coastal scene of figures crossing a bridge onto an islet and approaching pavilions hung with lanterns, a fisherman and dwellings beyond, within a black, blue and gilt rim, iron red and gilt signature and gilt leaf shaped panel to base, length approx 14.5cm.
