A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase, attributed to Kinkozan, Meiji period, the ovoid body painted and gilt with opposing panels, one side with a boy wearing a fox mask performing to various seated figures, the other with a procession leading through a village, reserved against a blue ground, filled with gilt flowers, foliate scrolls and simulated brocade, heightened in red and blue enamels, unsigned, height approx 11.7cm (minor rubbing to gilt on rim).
