A 17th Century fine needlepoint, stumpwork and appliqué panel with an oval reserve of a lady and gentleman within an Eastern landscape with a camel and fountains, a palace in the distance, emblematic of the Queen of Sheba and attendant, all contained within a stylized garden with lion, stag, rabbit, dog and insects, worked in a variety of stitches and finishes, including gilt and purlwork, chenille and silk threads, on a cream satin ground, approx 33cm x 49cm, within a faux tortoiseshell moulded frame.
