A Chinese Canton export ivory folding fan, late 19th Century, the guards carved in relief with figures, pavilions and tree above flowers, the sixteen sticks pierced with a vignette of figures in a village scene, supporting a silk embroidered panel, one side filled with a cockerel, ornamental pheasant and sparrows amongst flowers, the other side with birds and insects flying about a blossoming branch, beneath lines of black text, also inscribed 'Darjeeling 10th June 1891', the end applied with feathers, length approx 27.7cm.
