An exceptional Japanese ivory table screen and stand, Meiji period, the rectangular panel finely carved in relief and stained to both sides, one side with a scene of five monkeys playing with fruiting grape vine, the reverse with the Seven Gods of Fortune and a red stained signature seal, within a pierced border of chrysanthemums and peonies, the stand carved and pierced with further flowers, height 38.5cm.
