A Chinese blue and white export porcelain saucer dish, Qing dynasty, painted with five foliated leaves united by scrolling tendrils within a border and rim of lanca characters, the underside similarly decorated, underglaze blue four character mark of the Hall of Colourful Flowers (cai hua tang zhi) and double ring to base, diameter 25.7cm. Note: for a similar dish with four foliated leaves and without the lanca characters, see Krahl & Ayers 'Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum Istanbul, a Complete Catalogue III, Qing Dynasty Porcelains', Sotheby's 1986, page 980, plate 2061. A similarly decorated Daoguang mark and period bowl was sold by Sotheby's, Hong Kong, 1st-2nd June 2015, Lot 529.
