A George III satinwood tea caddy, the interior fitted with a pair of oval cut glass canisters with silver hinged lids, London 1796 by John Hutson, each lid bearing an engraved crest, the rectangular box with tulipwood crossbanded borders and an applied silver handle, height approx 14.5cm, width approx 19cm. Provenance: Christie's Godmersham Park sale, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th June 1983.
