SKETCHBOOKS. A group of three sketchbooks containing watercolours and pencil drawings by Ida Perrin and her daughter Muriel Perrin, one album titled 'A months holiday in Florence' and dated 1924, with mounted small format photographs, 10 watercolours and 14 pencil sketches of Florence on 23 leaves, 18cm x 25cm, in an Arts and Crafts style binding, another album inscribed 'Notes in pencil & colour of Henry's & my tours abroad, 1927-1928, including 14 watercolours and many pencil sketches on 45 leaves, including 3 full-page watercolours of Venice, 20.5cmm x 12cm, the final album by Muriel Perrin and dated 1907, containing 99 leaves of pencil sketches, occasional ink drawings and watercolours, including costume designs, life drawings, portraits, animals and a few historic illustrations, 23cm x 17.5cm. Note: According to Horace C. White in 'Bushey's Painting Heritage, Booklet No 7', a copy of which is included in the Lot, Henry and Ida Perrin had a pottery at Bushey Heath and produced lustre ware for William de Morgan. Ida also illustrated 'British Flowering Plants' published in 1914. Muriel Perrin was a very competent sculptress, sadly she died at an early age in 1918.
