An Ancient Greek Siana black figure kylix, 6th century BC, by the Griffin-Bird painter, of typical shallow circular form, the interior painted with a central circular black hen within a black border, the exterior with opposing scenes of a swan between two hens, flanked by a pair of loop handles, on a circular foot, width across handles 21.2cm, height 8cm. Note: accompanied by a Keramion Certificate of Authenticity and QED Laboratoire thermoluminescence report. Provenance: formerly from the Edouard Will collection.
