A Chinese blue glazed porcelain bottle vase (tianqiuping), mark of Qianlong and probably of the period, the thickly potted globular body rising to a tall cylindrical neck, covered in a dark blue glaze thinning towards the rim, leaving the interior and base glazed white, underglaze blue seal mark to base, height 55.3cm (restoration to neck). Note: a similar cobalt blue bottle vase was included in 'The Wonders of the Potter's Palette' exhibition, Hong Kong Museum of Art, 1984, number 85.
