A mid-Victorian mahogany and marquetry inlaid serpentine shaped bureau plat of small proportions, the top inset with gilt-tooled black leather within an inlaid border of masks, scrolls and flowers, the outer kingwood crossbanded border within a gilt metal edge, the shaped frieze similarly inlaid and fitted with a single oak-lined drawer, raised on gilt metal mounted cabriole legs, height 75cm, width 104cm, depth 68cm. Note: the inlaid decoration on this table is very much in the style of the Blake family of inlayers, based in Tottenham Court Road, London.
