A rare mid-18th century commemorative medal, dated 1756, obverse with William Blakeney holding the British flag, standing between firing cannons and a sailing ship, and detailed 'Brave William Blakney reward but to B give Acord', reverse with Admiral Byng receiving a purse of gold and detailed 'Was Minorca sold for French gold', Eimer 653.
