A Japanese Satsuma earthenware bowl, Meiji period, of steep sided circular form, the interior painted and gilt with figures outside a large temple, the exterior with maidens, Tokugawa mon and simulated brocade, gilt and black signature to base, height 8cm, together with another Satsuma earthenware bowl, Meiji period, painted and gilt with a group of figures in a lakeside setting, gilt signature to base, diameter 15.2cm (repaired and chipped).
