A Japanese cast iron tetsubin (tea kettle) by Ryubundo, the cylindrical body cast with a stylized keyfret band above archaistic lappets on a keyfret ground, beneath an overhead swing handle, the bronze cover with pierced knop finial and signed to underside, height 20cm, together with a Japanese cast iron tetsubin and cover of circular form with textured decoration and overhead handle, the body cast in relief with a three-character mark to side of spout, height 21.3cm.

A Japanese brown lacquered papier-mâché noh mask, early 20th century, modelled and pierced in two sections in the form of an elderly gentleman's face with applied hair, width 15cm (some faults).

A Japanese black lacquered jingasa (samurai hat), Edo/Meiji period, of shallow domed circular form with gilt Kashiwa Kamon crest on a black ground, the red underside with fastening attachments, diameter 38.2cm (minor chips to edges).

A Japanese practice katana, mid to late 20th century, with curved blunt-edged blade, gilt metal tsuba, menuki and pommel, the lacquered scabbard with striped decoration, total length 105cm, with silk bag cover.

A Japanese display model of a samurai helmet, late 20th century, with gilt metal foliate mounts, width 25cm, with wood stand and box, together with a Japanese ebony ceremonial stick, each side with incised and red stained four-character mark, length 45.8cm.

A Japanese lacquer tenmokudai (teabowl stand), Meiji period, raised on a high flared foot with saucer and rounded bowl support, decorated with gilt leaves and swirls on a dark brown ground, height 12cm, together with a similar taller lacquer stand, height 18cm, and a wood pipe case and matching cylindrical tobacco box.

A Chinese bronze pot, the squat globular body cast in low relief with a dragon opposing three lines of text, the underside cast with central taijitu emblems within a surround of the eight trigrams, height 6.1cm.

A Continental Japanese Imari style porcelain shaving bowl, late 19th century, the centre painted and gilt with flower charged vase, diameter 27.7cm. Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.

A Japanese antimony rectangular jewellery box, early 20th century, decorated in relief with dense chrysanthemums, the hinged lid revealing a compartmentalized camphor-lined interior, length 31.5cm.

A pair of Japanese Satsuma earthenware vases, Meiji period, each painted and gilt with opposing figural panels reserved against a simulated brocade border, height 24.3cm (one with hairlines to rim), together with five other Japanese earthenware vases.
