A Chinese blue and white porcelain hu-form vase, mark of Qianlong but probably late 20th century, the body painted with lotus and Buddhistic emblems amongst leafy scrolling tendrils, the shoulder and flared neck with bands of flowers, bats, vapours, scrolls, phoenixes, keyfret, trellis and shou medallions beneath a stiff leaf border, flanked by a pair of pierced scroll handles, underglaze blue seal mark to base, height 38.8cm.
