A Chinese lacquer box and cover, late Qing dynasty, of flower petal outline, decorated in black, gilt and red with shou medallions, fruit and flowers, on a gilt speckled iron red/brown ground, height 10.4cm, together with an Indian gilt lacquered brass bowl, probably Kashmiri, late 19th century, of oval form with shaped rim, the exterior painted with kingfishers and flowers, height 11.2cm (some faults).
