A late Victorian Arts and Crafts mahogany high back elbow chair by J.S. Henry, with boxwood line inlaid decoration, the curved bar back and shaped open arms with pierced supports, raised on square tapering legs and shaped block feet, height 122cm, width 57cm, depth 51cm. Note: this chair design can be seen in an 1897 J.S. Henry advertisement, illustrated in 'British Furniture 1880-1915' by Pauline Agius, page 95.
