MANUSCRIPT. - Thomas BLORE. Documents and Drawing Illustrative of Blore's History of Rutland. [N.p.: n.d. circa 1811.] Folio (362 x 258mm.) Comprising a handwritten title-page with 65pp. of hand-written text (transcripts of charters pertaining to Braunston, Exton, Hambleton, North Luffenham, Manton, Normanton, Okeham, Ridlington, Ryhall and Tikencote) numerous water-colour illustrations within, 6 double-paged genealogical tables, 21 water-coloured plates of seals, some with hand-written captions and at the rear a tipped-in 2pp. a.l.s from Thomas Blore. (Browning to margins, occasional spotting.) Late 19th century red morocco, double and triple fillet borders, gilt turn-ins (rubbing to extremities and some surface wear). Note: Thomas Blore wrote two parts of his history of Rutland, only 1 of which was published (vol. 1 part 2) which was published in 1811.
