A cobalt blue glass vase, probably Venetian, early 20th century, gilt with a wide band of biblical figures in a continuous scene, between white enamelled borders, unmarked, height 22cm, together with two small Venetian glass plates, one of red tint enamelled with Roman soldiers, diameter 15cm, the other of green tint enamelled with female figures and floral garlands around gilt detail, diameter 14cm, and a small group of mostly enamelled glassware, including a historismus type green glass beaker decorated with a coat of arms, height 17cm, a similar decanter and stopper, two roemers, an oversize roemer of pale olive green tint enamelled with blossom, height 30.5cm, and three Josephinenhütte flute glasses enamelled with male portraits, designed by Arthur Gerlach, height 21.5cm (minor faults and repairs). Provenance: from the collection of John and Poppy Stallebrass.
