A Chinese archaistic carved amethyst quartz jar and cover, 20th century, of rectangular tapering form with rounded corners, the cover with recumbent lion finial, the body carved in low relief with taotie masks, flanked by a pair of lion mask and tongue handles with loose rings, height 20cm (minor faults).
