A Victorian walnut bracket clock with eight day twin fusee movement striking on two bells, the 8-inch silvered dial with black Roman hour numerals and signed 'Thwaites & Reed London', the case with stepped top above bevelled glass side panels, on a cushion plinth base, height 47cm, with pendulum and case key. Note: Thwaites & Reed are recorded London clockmakers, founded in 1740 and running to this day, claiming to be the oldest clock manufacturing company in the world.
