A Naval General Service Medal 1793-1840 with bar ‘Syria’ to ‘Samuel Welsford’ (evidence of file marking to the rim, previous brooch mounting, restoration to suspension, replacement bar). Note: Noonans roll shows Welsford as serving as Private R.M. H.M.S Thunderer for Syria bar.
