A Chinese Ming style blue and white porcelain moonflask, mark of Qianlong but later, each side painted with eight lappet petals enclosing the eight Buddhistic emblems (bajixiang), radiating from a central boss decorated with a flowerhead, all within keyfret borders, the narrow sides with bands of stylized lotus and scrolling tendrils, on a similarly decorated foot, underglaze blue seal mark to base, height 40cm (lacking neck and handles).
