A pair of Japanese Satsuma earthenware vases by Kusube, Meiji period, of shouldered swollen cylindrical form, each painted with opposing panels of pheasant, wisteria, other flowers and stream, reserved against a midnight blue ground filled with gilt simulated brocade, iron red and gilt signature to bases, height 18.5cm.
